💸 My Dad Walked Out of the Restaurant Angry… Was He Wrong?Reserve Tables

When it was time to pay, the payment screen automatically asked for a 20% tip.
He looked at the cashier and said,
“A tip… for food I drove here to pick up myself?”
The cashier seemed uncomfortable, and a few people in line started staring.
My dad refused to leave a tip, paid for his food, and walked out shaking his head. ExploreHotel JobsExplore Hotel Jobs
Later, he told me,
“Tips should be for service, not just because a screen asks for one.”
But some of my friends say he was rude and that restaurant workers deserve tips even for takeout because they prepare and package the order.
Now I’m curious…
